Hope Diamond is a gemsona created by N.R. Wynter. An entity made of several Gems, she was a powerful fusion with the ability to place heavy curses on other Gems.

Hope Diamond was one of the most terrifying and powerful Gems to exist. She was made of several different Gems who grew to loathe the Great Diamond Authority. The fusion inherited a powerful ability of spreading curses to thousands of Gems. The casualties were high as many of them became broken under her influence. Hope Diamond's reign of terror lasted until the other diamonds stepped in to stop her. The fate of her and her components are unknown.

The story of Hope Diamond is treated like a warning to those who defy the Diamonds and use fusion for unconventional purposes. It has existed for so long time many doubt its legitimacy.

The ending of Hope Diamond's story has also been debated among other Gems. Many who believe in the story assumed she and her components were shattered after being split apart by the Diamonds. A handful of Gems believed they were harvested as punishment for their crimes. Some of the oldest Gems to exist in gem culture claim the Diamonds didn't stop her at all. The theory proclaims Hope Diamond was powerful enough to escape from them and exists somewhere in the darkest parts of the Universe. These Gems say the ending was changed to preserve the Diamond's credibility.

Rumors have begun to spread about Gems encountering the legendary Hope Diamond on different, uninhabitable planets. However, none of these claims have been proven to be true.
